Spawning Period: April to October depending upon the locale.
Spawning Habitat: Spawns over the gravel nest of Hornyhead Chubs.
Important Notes: This minnow is often found with other minnows. There has been a
notable reduction of its range in the state of Missouri. Striped Shiners are mid
to top water feeders.
